Cindy Delpart
Rouge Gallery is pleased to welcome Cindy Delpart. Cindy was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and studied graphic design at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. Two years later, Cindy returned to Western Canada to live in Calgary, Alberta, where she has resided for thirty years and has infused her artistic temperament into all aspects of her life. Cindy has an intense appreciation for her prairie roots. She believes this passion has fundamentally influenced her creative endeavours.
After working with still life and the human figure, Cindy's predominant interest has changed to landscape and abstract painting. Whether representational or non-representational, strong design, composition, and color are key elements in all her work. She has the courage to take risks that often result in creative accidents. These, she believes lead to many of her greatest successes. Once working mainly in watercolor, she now prefers acrylic because the flexibility of the medium is better for allowing her to express her deep feelings for her subjects.
Cindy's work has been displayed in group and solo exhibitions in Alberta and her paintings hang in corporate and private colletions in both Canada and the United States.
